Right To Play

Right To Play is a global non-profit organization that protects, educates, and empowers millions of children affected by poverty, conflict, and crisis through the transformative power of play. Founded in 2000 and operating in more than a dozen countries across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, Right To Play delivers evidence-based, play-based learning programs that improve foundational literacy and numeracy, psychosocial well-being, gender equality, and access to safe, inclusive education — especially in fragile and emergency contexts.

Working in close partnership with governments, educators, and local communities, Right To Play integrates structured Play-Based Learning (PBL) methodologies into formal and non-formal education systems to strengthen teaching quality, student engagement, and retention. Right To Play combines program delivery, policy engagement, and research to advance scalable, sustainable education solutions, particularly in early childhood education, quality primary education, education in emergencies, and girls’ education.
