The GCE-US Youth Engagement Program equips students, young professionals, and youth from various backgrounds with information about education for all and also empowers them to share their knowledge with others.

The GCE-US Youth Engagement Committee is excited to invite youth (ages 14 - 30) passionate about advocating for education to apply to join the movement! The committee represents GCE-US organizational members with youth networks and other stakeholders with the following objectives:
- Engage young people in promoting a whole-child approach to U.S. foreign assistance, primarily focusing on advocating for access to a quality education for children and youth.
- Leverage access to youth networks and perspectives across the GCE-US coalition to further the whole child policy agenda.
- Cultivate a group of trained and active youth advocates who can effectively advocate for the whole child policy agenda.
Selected Youth Advocates will:
- Participate in three virtual training sessions
- Meet with representatives on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, July 15 for Advocacy Day
- Serve as official GCE-US Youth Advocates in congressional constituent meetings
- Join the GCE-US youth alumni community with access to unique events and opportunities
- Gain access to networking and mentorship opportunities
Excellent candidates will:
- Be passionate about education policy and advocacy
- Demonstrate interest in making tangible change for the state of education in the U.S. and abroad
- Have experience (professionally or on a volunteer basis) with education (preferred not required)
