World Vision

Global

World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.

Since 1950, World Vision has helped the world see vulnerable children through the eyes of faith, joining with others to pull up the roots of poverty and plant the seeds of real change. And it’s working. We’ve seen lives and entire communities transformed by the unmistakable power of belief—in ourselves, in each other, and in the God who loves us.

World Vision works in nearly 100 countries around the world and supports quality and access to education for children in 66 of those countries, with over 190,000 parents and community literacy facilitators being trained to support children’s learning, and over 4 million children being supported through our education programming in 2023. We also work in fragile and emergency contexts to ensure that children who are living in conflict zones or who have experienced a humanitarian emergency are not left behind.

World Vision’s approach focuses on three factors that improve children’s learning:

  • Increasing access to equitable and quality basic education, with special attention to girls and children with disabilities
  • Partnering with parents, local organizations, the private sector, and governments to galvanize greater learning outcomes and opportunities
  • Strengthening community involvement in education to create enabling environments
