EDGE Institute exists to promote and provide education that leads to effective engagement across global borders. We work to break down barriers and open doors for relationships.

EDGE is an international, non-governmental, non-profit organization, founded in Washington, D.C. in 2013. EDGE carries out its mission to promote and provide education globally through programs in two main sections: Global Education Development and Education in Emergencies.

The Global Education Development (GED) section carries out projects that make strategic investments to provide training, resources, and opportunities to support excellence in education, particularly in developing countries.

TARGET trips: These are some of our main GED projects. Working together with local schools, universities, teachers associations, and civil society organizations these trips bring teams of international educators to provide training and instruction for students and teachers.

The Education in Emergencies (EiE) section carries out projects to provide education in the midst of crisis situations, be that conflict, post-conflict, or natural disasters.

Hope for Miles: This is an umbrella fund for our work to provide education for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and Refugees in the Middle East. More than 13 million children in the Middle East and North Africa are out of school, many of them flee their homes because of conflict. Education is able to provide a opportunity, normalcy, safety, and hope for the future.

We believe that education can make a difference in the world by empowering and engaging individuals as well as communities. We want to be a part of facilitating that difference in a positive way that engages over topics that matter and serves to build stronger and more stable societies.
