Global Action Week is an annual week of international attention on the right to an education around the world. With events happening in nearly 100 countries, you can be a part of a larger movement when you take action this week and for the rest of the year for education for all.

#gaw2014 focuses on #inclusion as nearly 90 percent of students with disabilities do not attend school in the developing world and of the 57 million children out of school a great number of them have a disability--moderate to severe. Students with disabilities still have an equal right and therefore and should have an equal opportunity to attend school. Help bring awareness to his issue by taking action yourself or with friends this year.

Spread the word with images and statistics:

  • 90% of children with disabilities in the developing world do not attend school.
  • In Bangladesh 30% of children with disabilities completed primary school--48% of those without a disability completed school.
  • Globally, an estimated 93 million children under age 14 have a moderate to severe disability.
