The Global Campaign for Education-US (GCE-US) condemns the violence at the U.S. Capitol. As we all witnessed grave threats to U.S. democracy, our thoughts are with all those injured and affected by the violence, including Members of Congress and their staff, security staff, journalists, and everyone in Washington, D.C.

We thank educators and caregivers who are helping children and students discuss recent, unprecedented events and teach democracy, peace and inclusion. Our coalition members have provided updated, timely resources for teachers, school leaders, parents, caregivers and everyone interested in social justice and education.

>> American Federation of Teacher’s Share My Lesson - By Educators, For Educators Initiative and Civics Renewal resources to discuss democracy in the classroom.

>> Talking to kids about the attack on the Capitol with National Education Association.

It is more important than ever to unite in support of global education, children, youth and peaceful partnership around the world. Please take action and add your voice here
