Washington, D.C. - From April 22 to April 28, 2018, Global Campaign for Education-US will celebrate its 15th Global Action Week for Education! This year’s Global Action Week for Education theme focuses on Citizen Participation and Accountability for Sustainable Development Goal 4.

We invite you to become a citizen participant by joining Global Action Week for Education & urging Congress to fund global education. Please take action here.

Thanks to the advocacy efforts of citizens, on March 23, 2018, Congress passed a spending bill for Fiscal Year 2018 (FY18), which protects global education support and increases Global Partnership for Education funding by $12.5 million.

Despite this encouraging support from Congress, in February 2018, the United States Administration proposed a 30% cut to the International Affairs budget, which would undercut global education initiatives worldwide. Please act today to protect children and youth around the world in need of quality education.

Global education champions who take action here by the end of April 2018 will be eligible to win a $50 gift card:
Please act today.
